Okay, so after re-listening to Goose House's acoustic version of their song Hikaru Naru, from Your Lie in April fame...YouTube recommended this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2sKMBzx4EA
A violin cover by a violinist, Eru Violin, casually cosplaying as Kaori.
So cool.

"I haven’t worked this hard since my masters recital on classical violin. I’ve ripped up my fingers to shreds, they bled, they blistered."

I'm kind of wondering how many people have actually seen the anime. It's surprisingly old, though it's not quite 90s old
Considering the demographic of the Fedi, more people here might know of it than elsewhere
It's one of, if not the only, Kajiura Yuki piece that I've recorded, but it's one of my old favourites. Aside from BT being a character I like, something about this track spoke to me and I ended up writing 3 parts for the violin to go on top of the piano part in the original
Unlike most of my other recordings, I had the time to go through and put 2 violins on each of the 3 parts, giving a bit more of the silkiness of orchestras compared to the more distinct sound of 1 violin per part in a small ensemble

SHIIRRRE! BAGGINNNSSS!
...is, well, hopefully not quite the scene that comes to mind when you hear this.

Concerning Hobbits is, without a doubt, one of my favourite pieces to play (and probably one of my oldest tracks if we're counting in learning order). It's so good at bringing to mind the wonderful scenery of the Shire and the care-free, food-filled lives of the hobbits who inhabit it.
Oddly enough, I get a disproportionate number of people coming up to me and telling me that Concerning Hobbits reminds them of the Titanic movie...Anyway, I hope this is a nice, relaxing track for you (complete with a bit of ambiance) before July 4th blows that all away

Can you guess what this piece is?
Come to think of it, some of you might even be able to pin the very album I learned this intro from
