Cloverleaf sofa by Verner Panton for Verpan

Dezeen Showroom: designed by Verner Panton in 1969 and made by lighting brand Verpan, the sculptural Cloverleaf sofa is now available in versions for both indoors and outdoors.

The Cloverleaf sofa is designed to reference the curvaceous shape of a clover leaf. The sofa is flexible and users can add or remove modules depending on their desired design.

The sofa's outdoor version, which is made of 100 per cent recyclable polyethylene plastic, is suitable for both outdoor environments and indoor areas that are high traffic or require a hardwearing material.

"This one-of-a-kind sofa is one of Panton's masterpieces," said Verpan. "Cloverleaf sofa is without a doubt a statement piece that elevates any space whether it is placed in residential or contract settings."

Muted fabrics can give the sofa a more subtle sculptural quality

The standard version has a wood frame and textile upholstery. Verpan recommends strong colours for an eye-catching effect, or muted ones to create a more organic, sculptural element.

Verpan was founded in 2003 to carry on Panton's legacy by manufacturing his furniture and lighting.

Pantop Portable light by Verner Panton for Danish company Verpan

Dezeen Showroom: Verpan has unveiled a portable, smaller addition to its colourful collection of Pantop table lights created by Danish designer Verner Panton.

Panton drew on his original designs to create a portable version of the bell-shaped Pantop light. The latest addition to the collection allows users to carry the light with them around the house or even into the garden.

Pantop Portable can be easily carried throughout the house

"Making the Pantop Portable adds a level of usability and flexibility that allows you to bring the light with you – from room to room, or even outside in the garden or at the balcony, and create the desired atmosphere wherever you are," said Verpan.

"The new Pantop Portable has been created in respect to the original Verner Panton design, however in a modern execution using contemporary materials and technologies."

The lights come in a range of bright, playful colours with a glossy finish

Like the larger Pantop lights, the portable version comes in an array of colours such as bright red, forest green and baby pink. All of the lights are finished in a shiny gloss and have a dimmer to adjust brightness.

Thanks to its seven-hour operation time, the portable light can be used inside to illuminate interiors or outdoors on garden tables.

Outdoor spring collection by Verner Panton for Verpan

Dezeen Showroom: Danish company Verpan has reimagined two seating designs and a throw by notable midcentury designer Verner Panton for outdoor use.

The Outdoor spring collection includes the Mirror throw blanket, new colours for the stacking plastic Panto Pop chair and an updated version of the modular Cloverleaf sofa, which can be used both indoors and out.

The Panto Pop chair is available in five new colours

Panto Pop is a circular chair made from a single piece of plastic, now available in dark green, grey, yellow, white and red.

"Its lightweight design makes it easy to move around and put to use in different spaces during the day," said Verpan.

Mirror blankets are made of pure wool

Made from 100 per cent New Zealand wool, the Mirror throw has a simple triangle pattern and comes in six colourways.

The Cloverleaf In- & Outdoor sofa is made from durable polyethylene, which Verpan says is easy to clean and recyclable.
