OLO Φ lamp by Li, Hui-Lun for Seeddesign

Dezeen Showroom: created by lighting designer Li, Hui-Lun for Seeddesign, OLO Φ is an adjustable LED table lamp with a minimalist geometric silhouette.

The lamp has an arched line frame with the lamp head in the centre. The head can be rotated 290 degrees to direct the light.

"OLO Φ infused the diameter symbol Φ into the basic elements of circle and line with the finely welded frame," said Seeddesign.

"Derived from geometric forms, OLO Φ represents a classic image of a lamp, yet the cutting-edge technology comes through from every detail of the light."

The lamp has a circular base with a discreet button in the centre that turns the light on and off.

OLO Φ is available in three colour combinations, including sand gold with matt black, shiny black with matt black and shiny copper with matte black.

Soft lamp by Terence Woodgate for Case Furniture

Dezeen Showroom: designer Terence Woodgate has created the ambient Soft light for Case Furniture, which translates the shape of the traditional fabric lampshade into opal glass.

Available in both floor and table lamp models, the Soft light has a hand-blown opal glass shade based on a lighting archetype.

The lamp has disc-shaped base made of polished black or grey granite

"I took a known form and manipulated it," said Woodgate. "I wanted it to have a familiarity, which is why the shape is based on something we recognise."

The Soft light produces a gentle, dimmable glow that is suitable for a variety of spaces.

Soft is available as a table and floor lamp

It is completed by a disc-shaped base made of polished black or grey granite, providing a material contrast.

The Soft lamp can accommodate a wide range of bulbs, so the light can be made warmer, cooler, brighter or gentler, according to preference.

Luminaires Series 100 lamps by Yrjö Kukkapuro for Blond

Dezeen Showroom: designed as a lighting solution for his studio in the 1960s, Finnish furniture designer Yrjö Kukkapuro's Luminaires Series 100 is now available from Swedish lighting brand Blond.

Luminaires Series 100 includes spotlights, pendants, table lamps, floor lamps, wall-mounted and ceiling-mounted lamps.

The lampshades are made from aluminium and are available in cone and rectangular shapes.

"Kukkapuro's design work is based on both aesthetic and functional innovation, user experience and ergonomics," said Blond.

Luminaires Series 100 is designed to be adaptable. The lamp heads can be rotated and the floor lamp models have adjustable steel stands.

Kukkapurro designed the lamps for his own studio

Informed by reflectors and screens used by photographers, the series includes a round fibreglass reflector that creates indirect light.

Blond updated Kukkapuro's original lamp designs with modern technology to suit contemporary production.

Romb Mini lamp by Broberg & Ridderstråle for Pholc

Dezeen Showroom: Swedish lighting brand Pholc has collaborated with Broberg & Ridderstråle to create Romb Mini, a portable table lamp made from two stacked aluminum shapes designed to imitate cardboard.

Romb Mini is the outcome of Pholc's most recent collaboration with Swedish designers Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle, and the lamp compliments its larger cousin Romb, which was released last year.

Romb Mini is battery-powered and lightweight making it suitable for a variety of uses

The Romb Mini is made portable thanks to its compact size, lightweight aluminum construction, and battery-powered light source.

"Use it as a centerpiece on a dinner table or as a companion on a sideboard. As adaptable and interesting in a home as in a lobby," said Pholc.

The lamp comes in four neutral colourways

"We formulated a concept using corrugated cardboard shapes, a material that we use a lot when building architectural prototypes," explained Mats Broberg.

The lamp comes in a variety of colours, including vanilla, cotton, cumin, or blue stone, which allows the ridged profile of the Romb Mini to remain a focal point.

Cassiopea table lamp by Studioforma

**Dezeen Showroom: **Swiss architecture and design studio Studioforma has created a table lamp named Cassiopea, which is made from glass and polished marble.

The Cassiopea table lamp has a marble base, which is topped with a bevelled glass dome and finished with brass details.

The lamp is created by a rounded glass dome, marble and brass

The collection is available in multiple colours. Its glass dome comes in blue, purple and gold, while the marble base is available in black or white.

According to Studioforma, each Cassiopea lamp is characterised by its "unique marble veining".

The lamp is powered by cable and lit by an LED light. When the lamp is switched off, the various shades of the rounded glass dome are designed to resemble a precious jewel, according to the brand.

"Irrespective of the ambience in which Cassiopea is placed, the interior benefits from the individuality of this lamp because of the fascinating reflection of the space surrounding it," said Studioforma.

Echo lamp by Simon Busse for Caussa

Dezeen Showroom: designer Simon Busse has created the Echo lamp for German brand Caussa, which is informed by the shape of a tuning fork.

Echo has a round LED light source that can be rotated 360 degrees for a variety of lighting options. The lamp's head is height adjustable along a two-pronged stand, which is shaped like a tuning fork.

The Echo lamp is available in white, red, blue and black

A hidden gesture control allows users to turn on, off and dim the light with a simple hand movement.

"No more tedious searching for the light switch on the cable or on the lamp," said Caussa. "The Echo lamp impresses with its particularly intuitive usage, its cleverly designed modular metal structure and its iconic appearance."

Caret table lamp by Matteo Fogale for &tradition

Dezeen Showroom: Matteo Fogale has designed &tradition's Caret portable table lamp, which is based on a traditional library lighting design.

The Caret lamp reimagines the green-shaded "bankers lamp" that sits in many public libraries and gives it a clean, contemporary form.

The Caret lamp is made of lacquered steel and comes in either dark burgundy or silk grey

Fogale designed it to suit environments that blur the line between work and home and named it after the proofreading mark used to indicate the additional insertion of text.

"I love the idea that this is exactly what this portable lamp is meant to do – to be added to your bookshelf in between your books or sat on a table in between people," Fogale said.

Its form is based on the classic "bankers lamp" often seen in libraries

Caret is made entirely from lacquered steel and comes in dark burgundy or grey silk.

Fogale describes the colours as elegant, and says they will endure the passing of time and trends while complementing both dark and light wood tones.

Available from the end of February, the Caret lamp is one of two products launched by &tradition as part of its New for Spring launch. The second is the Margas lounge chair.

Dezeen Showroom: Z-Bar Gen 4 is a minimalist lamp with flexible joints that users can shape into angular silhouettes, designed by Kenneth Ng and Edmund Ng for lighting brand Koncept.

Created as an improved version of the brand's original Z-Bar lamp, Z-Bar Gen 4 has hidden joint mechanisms that have a greater range of movement.

When not in use, the flexible joints allow users to fold the lamp down into a slim stick to save space.

The Z-Bar Gen 4 has flexible joints that let the users shape the light themselves

Koncept created Z-Bar Gen 4 to have an improved quality of light compared to the earlier version. "The optics have been improved so that multiple, harsh shadows are avoided; instead the user gets soft, even shadows," said the brand.

Z-Bar Gen 4, which is launching in 2022, comes in three sizes of desk lamp models and as a floor lamp.

Additional compatible accessories include a desk clamp, wall mount and alternative bases such as a wireless charging Qi base.
