I’ve got Davrin in my party, and Solas had to get one more dig in at the Dalish AND make everything about him, saying Davrin must have told the Dalish about him, and Davrin is like, “Why tf would I do that and get more elves killed because people blame us for dumb shit Y’ALL did?”
Solas then pulled out “Mala shivanas ar athim” (“Your dedication/duty humbles me”), and lol bitch please. N O T H I N G humbles you. I know what “solas” means. You are incapable of actual humility.
…wow, I’ve got Bellara with me as we follow Solas through the city, and she asked him why he killed Mythal. I somehow hate him more because of his “The Evanuris killed her,” and when Bellara points out he killed her in Flemeth’s body, he says she was just a fragment.
Never have I wanted to reach through the screen and throttle someone like I do Solas’ never-taking-accountability ass.
This will not be the him and Inquistor in the Fade ending. It will be the trick Solas run.
And tangentially related, I really wish that, if you romance one of the companions that would ordinarily get into a romance with another character, that now single character gets with someone else. Say, Neve and Bellara get together, or Lucanis and Davrin do, and Taash or Harding with…idk, somebody.

I’m replaying Veilguard and just got to after Weisshaupt and told Solas I don’t need a shoulder to cry on, and he said, “At least you still have Varric to talk to,” and I.
Y’ALL.
I literally just stared at the screen in disbelief at that mofo’s gall before my middle finger came up.
So, I had everything I needed to get the “good” ending for Solas, and went, “…nah, let me beat this man’s ass.”
No regrets. NONE.
