August 7, 2013: I decided to zero at the Upper Goose Pond cabin. The caretaker made pancakes for breakfast. After everyone else had left, he unlocked the canoes. I went out for a paddle on the pond.
I spent the afternoon relaxing around the cabin. A few new sobo hikers arrived on the afternoon, and it was nice hanging out with them.
