admarsAnother great #stout from #unitybrewingco , this has actually been in cupboard a while, so last rather than this season, but still in date I'm glad to say 🙂 "more hugs" barrel aged imperial chocolate & hazelnut stout, 10%. Quite thick, very smooth and creamy, full of body, decadent:) hope they do it again this year
Anthony GladmanSad news this morning that Unity Brewing Co is closing down. Another great brewery lost.
Comment from the Founder, Jimmy Hatherley, is grimly unsurprising:
“Covid, Brexit and the cost of living crisis have made it impossible for us to operate without making a loss every month.”
Unity were small but very well respected within the industry and made great beers. If they can go under, who's next?
Reckon we may see some big names go this year.
