Some thing which always makes me cringe is being pushed nouns with a detached initial letter, especially 'd', 'k', 'e' and 'i'. It always seems to refer to something half-arsed which someone is trying to push by riding a trendy train.
Would love to hear people try to prove I'm wrong with concrete examples (I'm discounting email as that is the thing which probably got the trendy train going in the first place).

My suggestion for groups and such would be to just use hashtags: #u3a #u3acomputing #u3awinsford, etc.
