It is certainly the case that ever heavier cars almost certainly produce more tyre particulates. #Electriccars are – for now – heavier still than equivalents. But even so, #tyrepollution appears roughly comparable between #petrol, #diesel and electric cars. The other benefits of switching to electric cars – most notably lower #carbonpollution – are huge.
