We can be more proactive in helping #twitter users move over.

Imagine if once a day, volunteers set up 30 minute workshops to walk interested folks through making an account on #mastodon and following accounts they like.

We just need 1) a spreadsheet for schedules 2) a prepared walkthrough for volunteers 3) a zoom link 4) spreading the word about daily workshops. We do need 1-2 people to organize everything though.

Maybe we should thank #ElonMusk for reminding us all how quickly a society can be turned into a closed, soviet-style dictatorship that bans critical speech and cancels journalists; Meanwhile his supporters mindlessly thank him for their "freedoms." 1930's were long ago. Many of us forgot what could happen.

Perhaps this small-scale demonstration will motivate us to be sure we don't let anyone do this to our governments.
