I was on Twitter for 12 years, with 225K accumulated tweets. Some of those threads have been cited in published scholarly work, so after I deactivated them, I realized I needed to ensure their public availability.
To that end, I've revived my blog (which contains all my posts since 2001).

if you got archives, check to see if you actually got all your audio & video media back. am seeing how they're obfuscating URIs & you may have gotten a JPEG and not MP4s.
needed web developer tools to run a search on .mp4 thru the trash heap of code they're using to obfuscate all media URIs and then scrape that shit the old school way
Doc Edward Morbius ⭕@Buttlesticks I don't know and am not a Twitter user, so I really don't have exposure to how things work there.
That said: I'd expect that the export would have favourited tweets, and that you'd be able to interact with those in some manner.
(I have worked with data exports from several other platforms and have developed tools to deal with those, most especially anything in JSON data format, a fairly established standard.)

So are any #twitterrefugees downloading their #TwitterArchives ? I just opened mine and it is fascinating (to me only I assure you). I love the web page they bundle with it.
