X Launches Standalone Chat App on Desktop

Another step toward Elon's 'everything app' vision?

Social Media Today

My app #SH1TT3R supports #Mastodon since 6 months. Since this time more features were added and the lines of code increased by 200%!

This was #SH1TT3R 1.0 I have released nov. 2017. I have never thought that my app reaches 24K lines of code and thousands of downloads.

Here is a new #SH1TT3R release. Important: I've fixed a serious bug with the visibility option which didn't work. Also there was a database problem which is also fixed. I've added status text blurring for 'spoiler' content and I have removed an unused setting. https://github.com/nuclearfog/Shitter/releases/tag/3.0.9

No. The best hypothesis is that it was because of advertising and the ability to control timeline biases, which the 3rd party #TwitterApp s were able to bypass.

The same weekened that 3rd party apps were silently disabled, #Twitter silently switched off the chronological timelines completely (albeit since partly switched on again in response to the world noticing) leaving only non-chronological timelines and search biased towards those who had paid Twitter.
