It was...fine I guess? I still don't mind Sui Zhou that much but adapted Tang Fan makes me insane, he's so annoying, sigh. They did at least wrap things up, the ending felt satisfying. Overall there were things I liked and things I didn't, but man calling it an adaptation of The 14th Year of Chenghua is just a full-on lie as far as I'm concerned.
Anyway. Onward to the next show... (which I guess is NiF 2????)

if this isn't an intentional trap it's the stupidest plotline. I'm supposed to believe anyone thought that checking on the bombs was a good idea? I'm supposed to believe they made Tang Fan a complete coward for absolutely no reason? This doesn't even fit with the other characterization WITHIN THE SHOW, much less what it does to book characterization.
I'm sorry I keep ragging on the show but I'll own I'm a little shocked especially considering how many people I know who love it.
oh yes my favorite (serious!) flashbacks of "bromance" moments while something dramatic happens in the present.
