Fresh Win 8.1
unable to install any Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable's



After giving up on Windows 10 with much struggle I downgraded to 8.1, I already like it a whole lot more but I have been having trouble installing any Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable's which are required to run for programs I need. (Ampps) It requires the api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll installed which apparently I can get from the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable which just gives me the error because I'm missing api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll. I'm going around in circles. I have installed all updates, restarted, tried a few cmd scans as well. I would assume the Windows Updates would include at least one Visual C++

This is the way I've done it the last couple of times.

Download the file located here:

After that I followed this advice they give on that same page:

"You can extract the installer file with 7-zip or WinRar to a short path and run Installer.cmd as administrator"

I hope it works for you as well.

حد كان كتب في احد صفحات المشاكل في مايكروسوفت ان اي مشاكل في ملفات

البوت بتاعه ظهري سيستم زورين
رحت ضغطه
مااستنتش عليه عملت ريستارت اخترت بعدها ريكفري مود
وتقريبا دوست اوكي وخلاص كده ماكنتش فاهم انا بعمل ايه
وبعدها راح مكمل دخل على شاشة سودا زي اللي طلعت اول مرة وانا مااستنتش عليها
ومادستش حاجة استنيت شويه
والنظام اشتغل

ومن نفس البوت لودر مااضطرتش اروح للبوت لودر بتاع زورين عن طريق ال
Bios
للاسف تقريبا لازم كل مرة ادخلت ع قائمة الريكفري
لما دخلت عادي مادخلنيش
اخترت من بوت التوزيعة الجديدة
Advanced ..for zorin
واخترت من القايمة اخر نسخة وهجرب تاني ادخل من غير الريكفري
برده اخدت وقت عشان توصل للشاشة السودا
هدوس
Exit
ولو مااشتغلش يبقى كفاية كده عليه
باي باي زورين

جه اللي بيثبت قالي لازم

مافهمتش
احط البوت دا فين
قلت هجرب
وقمت خليت البارتشن
Boot
من القايمة اللي طلعت من
لبارتشن ال 500 ميجا
اللي عملته
Boot/efi
كنت فاكر اني هضطر اختار بارتشن تاني
واعمله
/boot
لا
الحمدلله طلع ب
علامة هختارها للبارتشن من
ال edit

So so good

الحمدلله
اه والوندوز ما ضربش لما حولت البارتشن
من
Ntfs
الى
Fat32

اللي بعده

طلع ما ينفعش مع زورين
اممم هضطر اعمل بحث
اكيد هتبقى حاجة تافهه
وربنا يستر ومااخربهاش
