Taco DaveBus detour caused me to miss my train connection by less than a minute. As in “the bus driver is honking and several people are running but the engineer is closing the doors anyway”. Now we’re have to wait in the hot sun for an hour and hope we can get through security quickly at DFW. Thanks for screwing us again, #TrinityMetro. You need to fix the route 91 timing REAL BAD.
But I think for as nifty as the streetcar was, there was one huge factor that made it successful: timing.
I'm not talking about how often it ran or how closely it stuck to the schedule. Those are important as well. But the really important thing was that it ran late AF! 2am on the weekends! Hello!!! Even the best of the #TrinityMetro routes only runs until just after midnight on weekends, and not even with reasonable degrees of connectivity. You have to start heading home at 9 or 10!
