The "real" toms (played by the Zoom drum machine) starts the whole thing, but soon the Roland TR-06 (TR-606) takes over, in more ways that one as the TR06 was recorded in two pass, played/mixed live and sculpted by inboard and outboard effects.
Final mixdown refined the blending of all these elements (5 tracks).

Using two drum synths together, the #dfam and the #edge (where the Edge is a clone of the DFAM). #echolocator for delay and sparkles, #labyrinth for lots of little plinks and ploinks, and #tr06 for more drums and sequencing.

Oh this is just lovely, been doing some really groovy beats with the #Roland #tr06 and #tr08. The "808" is the 120bpm clock and the "606" is sync'ed to it. I have to figure a way to sync the Boss DR110 in the mix.
