steve mookie kongI just finished watching Monarch: Legacy of Monsters S02E04 "Trespass" and I was bored. This episode was so packed with filler time and stretched it out to almost an hour.
The bar scene was cute, but the over all Ocean's Eleven heist story arc was boring and lacked any sense of tension. The Cate character continues to languish without any importance.
I think the one thing that bogged this episode down was the fact that there was barely any story that takes place in the past -- outside of a montage early in the episode. The story in the past has always been the strong part of Monarch, the present story has been serviceable at best -- and this present heavy episode proves that.
The bits about what Apex is up to were interesting and it's always great to see Cliff Curtis on screen, he's a hoot.
I am behind in watching Monarch because I'm lacking motivation to continue.
