Meh. :/ I was thrilled to discover the full English dub Thundersub anime series on YouTube sometime this past decade again, but now there seem to be episodes missing from between & only the Swedish dubs for some further down.

Had no means to grab videos for myself then or much now either, so can only hope someone has the missing episodes to post some day again.

#Thundersub update: They've finally reached the secret base, unexpected family members appear and are suffering from amnesia.
The Wondership is being retrofitted into a 'space carrier', with the Sub and RocketCopter parts getting the chop. It feels very much like an aggressive Corporate takeover of a family company
They take the sub out on one last mission, the Chef dies, his dog is heartbroken.

For as long as I've been alive, Children's cartoons have told us that Nature is not a resource to exploit but a wonder to share the planet with and to wit, this dude dies for some mean looking Koalas

The darkness of these Japanese shows terrified me as a child, yet also drew me in.
This dudes' dead eyes staring back at the Koalas he gave his life for.
He died so they could get a chance in Outer Space (they're doing a 'Noah's Ark' with the rockets btw)
Koalas don't even care.

#ThunderSub Update: Some mad bastard in Australia fires a rocket in Space, the crew of the Wondersub fly in to investigate, before the Invaders kill everything.
I'm not sure as to the time scale of things here, but somehow enough time has passed since the Invaders first came for a 'land bridge' connecting Australia to Asia to form, and for Asia's charismatic megafauna to take over Australia.

#ThunderSub update: On episode 11 by now, we've seen the Admiral Daughters' PTSD make her into a badass sniper (horrifying flashbacks, this show was for kids?!) Odd excursion as they pick up two civilians, the main hero bonds with one of them as his combat buddy but then they leave to rebuild their island (which the Thundersub had to level)
The Aliens have a #SpaceElevator and robot fish that fire neutrinos, the Humans have a big fuck off nuclear bomb they fired at a fleet of Invader seacraft

@trixter I was more traumatized by Jetfire's plunging "death" in #Transformers, #DarkAwakening (since G1 movie was never seen as a kid) & the fate of Colonel Lupus (who I thought was Lucas since no subtitles anywhere) in #Thundersub.

I memory erased & mentally rewrote what happened to the Deathforce aliens in that anime so much that I was all "But...EVERYBODY LIVED at the end" when seen again on YTube the past decade or so some time.
