Normales Lochraster ist für THT okay.
Für viele SMD-Aufbauten ist es eher: irgendwie machbar, aber unnötig grob und frickelig.

Genau deshalb habe ich mir eine eigene Experimentierplatine gebaut – als Hybrid aus SMD-tauglicheren Flächen, zentralem THT-/Adapterbereich und durchgehender Versorgung.

Le lundi 8 décembre, Sadik Celik comparaissait devant le tribunal de Dax pour avoir passé plusieurs semaines dans les arbres. Ce faisant, il gênait le chantier du projet de ligne très haute tension de RTE entre Soorts-Hossegor et Seignosse, contre lequel des landais s’opposent. RTE, partie civile, réclame plus de 108 000 euros de dommages et intérêts.

Sadik est un écureuil infatigable, du haut de ses 61 ans. Animé par une profonde connexion aux « frères arbres », il est empreint de la culture Mapuche dont il porte le surnom. Le militant écologiste a passé plusieurs mois en hauteur, du 24 février au 9 avril 2025, afin de ralentir le chantier de la ligne THT de 400 000 volts en courant continu (...).

D’abord installés dans des platanes à Capbreton, les écureuils du Groupement national de surveillance des arbres (GNSA) s’étaient ensuite perchés dans une parcelle forestière menacée d’abattage pour enterrer le câble. Ils ont été délogés le 16 janvier 2025. Sadik, lui, avait réussi à s’échapper et est resté en hauteur jusqu’au 9 avril.

La défense a demandé la relaxe de l’écureuil, en vertu de son alerte sur la problématique du changement climatique. Le délibéré sera rendu le 2 février 2026.

The world’s first open and free database which tracks the high-voltage line length of almost every country’s grid is finished, which shows a significant underestimation of global line lengths.❗

MapYourGrid and Open Energy Transition developed a bottom-up approach by going through reports, datasets, geospatial files, and websites of every country’s transmission system operator (TSO), electricity regulator, ministry of energy or other sources.

Why?

➡️ 1. Data such as these are locked behind large paywalls, which means that the “6 million kilometres” of global transmission grid stated in the IEA’s 2025 World Energy Outlook cannot be easily verified or understood. Furthermore, our approach allows for people to add to the open database, comment if there are mistakes, update the data, and validate it since all sources are indicated. Open data and Open Source allows for stringent validation, and can guarantee higher levels of quality.

➡️ 2. We wanted to know how much of the grid is mapped in OpenStreetMap, globally, per country and per voltage level. Being able to compare this with official data, now allows the community and MapYourGrid to see the coverage missing (or not!) in detail, and to attribute a quality score to a country’s grid.

So, in total this gives us a high-voltage grid estimate of at least 7.3 million circuit kilometres. Thus, we now estimate that around 75% of the world’s high-voltage grid is mapped in OpenStreetMap (rough estimate).
