What is thrombin time (TV test)?
Thrombin time is a laboratory study that is done on a plasma sample to determine the final phase of fibrin formation.

It is done in such cases: diseases that lead to a deterioration in the quality of fibrinogen (dysfibrinogenemia), disorders associated with a decrease in the amount of fibrinogen (hypofibrinogenemia), confirmation of fibrinolysis.
