RobLord only knows where the American Genre Film Archive dredged 'The Brawl Busters' from but I'm glad that they did. If even the film-makers know what was going on in this movie, I'd be surprised but they definitely thought it was important to have about nineteen different sub-plots going on connected by wild fight scenes.
If you asked David Lynch to make a martial arts film with a $30 budget and a cast of about 100 demented South Koreans, this may well be what you'd end up with.
Still, no kung fu film I've ever seen has offered up so much lunacy quite so relentlessly. There are enough ideas here for twenty different films and it's hard to fault that really.
