NevadaSecond issue of the second Minor Threats miniseries (here I posted about the first one:
https://mstdn.social/@nevada/111273522623485431 ), not counting the excellent #TheAlternates spin-off (which was even better than the "main" series IMO). OK, the general landscape for the mainstream USA #ComicBooks may not be living its better moment, so as it happens you have to look at the fringes to discover that yes, it's still possible to make very good books on the superhero trope and regain your faith in the genre.

Attached: 1 image After the awesome impression made from the current The Alternates series ( https://mstdn.social/@nevada/111217835638832988 ) I got the former miniseries set in the same shared universe: Minor Threats. IDK if it's because The Alternates add Tim Seeley to the writer's staff, but MT seems kind of a bit less polished than TA. Anyway it's a very good and even necessary read at this moment, when the majors hardly have any titles in the scope nearly as good as this... And I hope these creators keep them coming. #ComicBooks

The Alternates #2, and the series living up to its promise. How long since you had that feeling, after reading a monthly issue, that you *needed* more? Yeah, it's that addictive. Because it's character-based, and two issues into it, the writers make them matter, and you *need* to know more about them. That which, with decades-long beloved franchise-characters, Marvel and DC systematically fail to accomplish.
If that isn't enough, the art is simply awesome.
