Iowa eliminates 30-day eviction notice policy

Thousands of Iowa’s renters could see less notice for evictions following an Iowa Supreme Court ruling. The decision ends a federal COVID-19-era requirement that landlords give tenants who have not paid their rent a 30-day eviction notice. Now, landlords are only required to give three days’ notice. The court’s decision makes Iowa the first state...

Guess no more loopholes in taxes moving forward as you'll be audited and there's no business write-offs cause everything no longer exists. What a perfect reality after a life of crime.

How much are due in taxes at $400 a pair?

#Christmas is coming. That glorious season of peace & goodwill to all men (terms & conditions may apply) where white, gentile parents tell their children lies that indoctrinate them into accepting a life of constant surveillance by Santa & his Little Snitches (Santa’s Little Snitch, a Christmas Tradition since 2005).

It’s also a wonderful time for adults lying to themselves and each other, in many ways. For example, this from :deadbirb:

happy “deliberately keeping people poor, then standing out the front of foodbanks for a photo op grinning like a fucking idiot" holiday season

Lying to yourself that you’re helping #ThePoors is indeed, a long standing Christmas tradition. One way in which we do it in #Australia is buying gifts for impoverished families, and giving them to impoverished people who exist only in our own imaginations, through major retailers.

Want to give a poor child whom you’ve never met a Barbie Doll or a Transformer? Buy one from the K-Mart Toy Department.

Think that an unknown single mother’s Christmas Dinner should start with a good soup? Buy her a tin of Baxter’s Lobster Bisque from your local supermarket & drop it in the donations bin on the way out.

This is all bullshit, of course. The Barbie Doll or Transformer might actually end up with the child you imagined yourself giving it too: more likely is that K-Mart will put it back on the shelves and donate its wholesale price to the Salvation Army. Who will use it to buy baked beans, maybe, or new brass instruments for one of their bands.

As for that single mother and her child starting their Christmas dinner with a hearty bowl of Baxter’s Lobster Bisque? Get real, FFS!

If you’re #Australian and you’re thinking that you should do something for the doors this Christmas, I have a simple suggestion: write to your local Federal MP and tell them that they need to #RaiseTheRate of Jobseeker Allowance, Disability Support Pension, the Aged Pension and every other social security payment.

At most, it will cost you the price of a few sheets of paper, some printer ink, an envelope and a postage stamp. Much cheaper than Baxter’s Lobster Bisque and probably more effective.
