This Is My GlasgowLove this Greetings from Glasgow mural on the side of the Garage Night Club on Sauchiehall Street. Designed by Artisan Artworks, it was painted in 2024.
The iconic American-style truck emerging from the wall above the entrance to the legendary Garage night club on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow. One of Scotland's largest clubs, the Garage opened in 1994. However, the building it's in is much older, with part of it (G2) being housed in a Georgian mansion which was built in 1812. While the truck is currently bright yellow, it has been painted many different colours over the years.

Many Glaswegians will be familiar with the Garage Nightclub on Sauchiehall Street, but how many know that part of it is housed in a Georgian villa?
Built in 1812 for a button manufacturer called James Deakin, it's one of a row of six such villas called Albany Place which have been swallowed up by the later commercial development of Sauchiehall Street.
