I am what we call here #teamchain and I wax those.
So if you are looking for a low maintainance bike, I would recommend a #rohloff or even better a #pinion gear drive with a belt. Shimanos #Nexus or #Alfine would work fine, too but nothing beats the quality of made in Germany.
(cars and economic responsibility, waste of resources, pollution in the name of economic growth are a less pleasant, I know)
