今天一大早衝台東，坐了四個小時的電聯車到大武😅，又去多良拍火車然後再坐車到台東市。
到台東市之後去看糖廠然後沿著舊東線到已經廢棄的馬蘭火車站。

今天行程好多，就是有點累，所以坐車的時候都在睡覺😴。

Heute: mit dem Express Train knappe 2.5h von #Kaohsiung nach #Taitung - Businessklasse kostet (mit Bento und Getraenk) etwa 24 Euro.

Vorbei an Mango- und Reisfeldern, Shrimp-Teichen, inzwischen ziemlich viel Solarfarmen, der Taiwan-Strasse und den atemberaubenden Bergen dieser wunderschoenen Insel.

Not for folks with a short attention span, but I found a 45-minute #documentary on the 50 years of Japanese rule over #Taiwan and the traces it has left.
Chasing old buildings from that era is one of my favourite activities when exploring cities in Taiwan that I do not know yet.
The connection between #Japan and Taiwan is complex - well beyond masters and colonial subjects.

While I do not have any #tattoos myself, I do respect the #tradition behind it in #Polynesian and #Austronesian cultures. And it's great to see that the old art of tapping #ink under the skin outlawed as uncivilized in the Japanese era is still alive in #Taitung thanks to indigenous #Paiwan tattoo artist Cudjuy Padjidres (does that name sound Chinese to you?). #Pacific #Taiwan #TaiwanisnotChina
