I am loving this live coded performance by Eli Fieldsteel in #SuperColider I really must find some time to give it a try! https://youtu.be/09o9IUanLng

Then some Mathias did some livecoding in #SuperColider which I didnt shoot a photo of. They were followed by @ojack showing off a wonderful tool they are making called Ear Dropper; which is a @TauriApps that sends the color underneath your cursor to an oscillator to make crazy sounds. They then showed what it did while hovering over a @hydra sketch which was lots of beeps and bloops, it was great

I don't recall where exactly, but I do recall somewhere in the tutorials a caution that the #supercolider parser does not understand operator precedence.

I made a package manager for #SuperColider plugins a while back, which allows you to automatically download, compile and install a plugin package with a simple GUI interface. No need to mess around with cmake and stuff. I just used it myself to get f0plugins on one of my computers.

Well, built a live input granuliser in #SuperColider that I’m actually pretty happy with, and now all i want is to throw sounds into it and live code big textural clouds.
Nailed it

I noticed one thing that's holding me back when it comes to #SuperColider : the fear of breaking things. And the fear of complexity.

Well, let's see if I can break a few things tonight, and then get them working again.

I injured my left knee yesterday. Which is a major bummer, but since it prevents me from doing housework quite effectively, I did some #composition sketching yesterday. This might become something for #guitar and #SuperColider.

Faust is an incredibly awesome functional programming language for sound. And I can't recommend it enough!

With a few lines of code, you can create a sound algorithm that easily compiles as SuperCollider plugins, VST plugins, command line tools, Pure Data plugins, Max plugins and even runs on bare metal devices like Teensy and ESP32.

@drkmbnt my asumption is based on this post on #SuperColider forum https://scsynth.org/t/looking-for-recommendations-on-music-made-with-supercollider/586/4 where Jonatan's album METRICS was posted as an example of work made in SC.
Looking for recommendations on music made with SuperCollider

Jonatan Liljedahl’s new album is great. I know Kindohm and Renick Bell use various livecoding front-ends, but with SC as the synthesis engine. Both of their recent releases are great. I can’t speak to specific releases, but I know that various people around XKatedral have used SC for music: https://xkatedral.bandcamp.com/ NMO’s live SC performances are legit AF: This Andeh Lang was on regular rotation for a while for me, I know it used SuperCo...
