A 3-week old screech owl took a flying leap at me today and climbed up my chest to sit on my shoulder. She then climbed up my ear with her predatory talons and sat on my head.

Just a superb owl couple, dressed and skating on a frozen river in seventeenth century Europe, with him holding a mouse in its beak, and her looking a bit grumpy because of the state of the world.

This is what I call a #timelinecleanse. Not one #superbOwl but two #superbOWLS on ice.

While 'owls on ice' is already something and a half, this engraving has also a motto (in Dutch): Hoe passen wy byeen - How do we fit together? It is about couples and about being together with someone in a world of nonsense, a timeless topic made under the impression of the #ThirtyYearsWar in Europe.
