Dezeen Showroom: created by Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet for outdoor furniture brand Vondom, the Africa sun lounger has a simple shape that is designed for users to easily move.

Although suitable for a variety of outdoor settings, Quillet designed the sun lounger for use by the sea.

"Due to its simple and natural forms, the new lounger allows you to easily follow the path of the sun," said Vondom.

The structural frame is made from polypropylene with fibreglass reinforcement. Two large wheels on the top legs make the lounger easy to transport.

Dezeen Showroom: designed by Matthew Hilton for Case Furniture, the Eos Platform Lounger combines a sunbed with an elongated side table.

Made from powder-coated aluminium with a sling seat, the Eos Platform Lounger is stackable for storage and incorporates two discreet wheels and plastic floor glides to make it easy to move around.

The frame is built to withstand weathering and rusting, while its Textilene fabric upholstery is mould-, mildew- and UV-resistant.

The table can be attached to either side of the lounger to provide ample space for drinks, books and other essentials.

The lounger is part of Hilton and Case Furniture's Eos collection of contemporary, lightweight outdoor furniture, and pairs well with the side table and lounge armchair.

Ibiza sun lounger by Eugeni Quitllet for Vondom

Dezeen Showroom: Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet has created a curvy lounge chair informed by the shape of waves for outdoor furniture brand Vondom.

Called Ibiza, the white sun lounger is made from recycled polypropylene plastic, reinforced with fibreglass for extra durability.

The collection is made from plastic waste that was salvaged from the Mediterranean sea before being injection moulded into its final, curvaceous form.

Suitable for a garden or terrace, the wave-like shape of the Ibiza lounge chair complements the natural shape of the body to facilitate a comfortable sitting position.

Quitllet's Ibiza collection also includes other monochrome outdoor furniture including black and white armchairs and side tables.

Dezeen Showroom: Karim Rashid has extended his angular Voxel chair collection for Vondom with the addition of a sunlounger for the outdoors.

The Voxel collection is characterised by its geometric, faceted forms, all made through injection moulding plastic.

The new sunlounger contains these angular shapes in its legs, which have a skate-like design to keep them from sinking into sand.

It is made of injected polypropylene reinforced with fibreglass, and has a polyester fabric cover that can be easily removed and replaced, thanks to fabric fastenings.

A sunlounger is the latest addition to the collection

The sunlounger is stackable and has two wheels to enable easy movement around a pool or beach.

The piece follows in the footsteps of Rashid's earlier Voxel armchair and chair designs, which have the same faceted form but in a distinctive mono-bloc construction.
