Soft lamp by Terence Woodgate for Case Furniture

Dezeen Showroom: designer Terence Woodgate has created the ambient Soft light for Case Furniture, which translates the shape of the traditional fabric lampshade into opal glass.

Available in both floor and table lamp models, the Soft light has a hand-blown opal glass shade based on a lighting archetype.

The lamp has disc-shaped base made of polished black or grey granite

"I took a known form and manipulated it," said Woodgate. "I wanted it to have a familiarity, which is why the shape is based on something we recognise."

The Soft light produces a gentle, dimmable glow that is suitable for a variety of spaces.

Soft is available as a table and floor lamp

It is completed by a disc-shaped base made of polished black or grey granite, providing a material contrast.

The Soft lamp can accommodate a wide range of bulbs, so the light can be made warmer, cooler, brighter or gentler, according to preference.

Ella chair by Matthew Hilton for Case Furniture

Dezeen Showroom: British designer Matthew Hilton created the Ella chair for Case Furniture, which is designed for enveloping comfort.

The Ella chair is made distinctive by its wings, which reach out to either side of the backrest to slightly close off the space for its sitter.

The Ella chair is designed to provide comfort for many hours

Case Furniture says the chair provides optimum comfort over many hours of repose, especially when paired with the Ella ottoman to give it a lounge set-up.

The Ella chair has an upholstered back and seat stretched over a steel tube frame and an injection moulded foam seat.

It can be paired with the Ella ottoman

It comes in a range of fabrics, with the option of either metal legs with a black or stainless steel finish, or wooden legs in oak or walnut.

The Ella design is also available in a dining chair model, which has the same winged shape but a more compact, upright seat.

The central light source can be rotated by 360 degrees to offer directional illumination, while three brightness settings allow the lamp to suit different moods and requirements.

Mouro is portable and can be recharged via a discreet USB port at the bottom of the disc element.

There are three brightness settings to create the desired level of lighting

The compact light has a steel frame that can be powder coated in black, white, grey or blue.

Altura step stool by Patricia Perez for Case Furniture

Dezeen Showroom: Patricia Perez has designed Altura, a step stool for Case Furniture that doubles up as a side table and plant stand.

Altura's "sleek yet sturdy design" features two stepped tiers that can be used to hold up everything from books to lamps and an entire person, allowing users to reach high-up places in their home.

The stool comes in a natural oak (top image) and black-stained finish (above)

"A lot of step stools have a similar look as their function often dictates their shape, which can constrict the design," Perez explained. "I wanted to make a step stool that was different from that."

"I enjoy finding products on the market that are not fully developed because it gives me the opportunity to design something different from what already exists," the designer continued.

The stool features two steps

The Altura stool is clad in oak veneer and comes in a natural and black-stained finish.

Both versions also feature a clear polyurethane lacquer on top to protect the wood.
