7 Things Every Thriller Reader Secretly Owns

Somewhere between “just one more chapter” and emotional attachment to a suspiciously orthopedic couch pillow, thriller reading stops being a hobby and becomes a lifestyle. These are the seven signs you’ve officially crossed over into full-blown Bookaholic territory — sleep deprivation, emotional-support tumblers, and all.

Finished the massive doorstop novel that is Brandon Sanderson's #WindAndTruth yesterday. It's the final book of the first #StormlightArchive arc.

I enjoyed it; not sure how I feel about how he left Roshar at the end, but it certainly sets up a ton of action and drama in the Cosmere.

That's 1 book down on the summer reading list. 15 more to go. https://www.nuketown.com/summer-reading-list-2025/

With the weather warming, it's time to start stocking up on summer reads. I write an action/adventure series called 'Expedition Inc.’ featuring a team of adventurers for hire.

As a fun extra I try to ground the stories in real places like an island off the west coast of Canada and Denver International Airport :)

Finished The Long Tomorrow by Leigh Brackett. I enjoyed it, and it's easy to see how other, later post-apocalyptic fiction was inspired by it.

Next up: Machine Vendetta (The Prefect Dreyfus Emergencies, Book 3) by Alastair Reynolds #SummerReadingList #FallReadingList #Novels #Books

So far, I've read 14 of 19 books on my #SummerReadingList, which isn't too bad considering how much time I spent playing #Hades instead of reading :)

My next print #novel is The Long Tomorrow by Leigh Brackett (hat tip to @grueproof for that one).

My current #audiobook, which I'm winding down, is Iain Bank's Surface Detail (the penultimate book in #TheCulture series. #summerreading
