16 years ago today.
A child born asleep.
Never to see the sunshine of the earth or of his mother.

I mourn for what may have been, but find consolation in what eventuated from the event. Lifelong friends made, life changes and a new found ability to find joy in the mundane.

I wish Nikolas was around for his 16th birthday, as much as I wish he was around for his 1st.

Life has a way of tossing curve balls at us, we just find a way to hit them back, bunt them into the infield or taking the strike and having another go.

Sending love to all those that have lost people on this day that means so much to me.

"SINGAPORE: A new legislation that will allow parents to register names for stillborn children and change the timeline definition of a stillborn child was passed in parliament on Tuesday (Jan 9).

The decision to allow parents to officially name their stillborn children comes after feedback from bereaved parents, said Minister of State for Social and Family Development Sun Xueling in parliament during the debate. "
