Stephanie Rothman was one of the Roger Corman stable directors, and Rothman ended up becoming a bit of an icon in the world of exploitation thanks to a scholarly feminist reappraisal, despite she not like being linked to exploitation films. Her 1974 film The Working Girls is a prime example of what she was capable of.
