Got a metal #herbin #rollerball #pen that takes standard short cartridges. I love the pen itself but writing is a bit thin and scratchy, the ball is noisy/squeaky - do loops and you can make it really whine! On smooth paper it seems to struggle with ink flow.

I'm using #kaweco ink at mo but wondering if something more - or less! - viscous would help. Less might improve capillary action, more might 'pull' ink better over the ball. Perhaps! No idea on the physics of rollerballs!

Any suggestions?
