The Shard, London Bridge, Southwark, London, August 2023.

The Shard is said to be the tallest office building in Western Europe. It was designed by architect Renzo Piano and opened in 2012.

It is a dramatic landmark seen from all over London.

I have always thought the top of the building looked a lot like the top of Sauron's Tower in the *Lord of the Rings* movies.
