The Stamp Collecting Merit Badge helps Scouts build patience and research skills. Each stamp shows a piece of history, culture, or geography 📮
Scouts learn to handle stamps with care, sort them, and look up information. This steady work builds focus and good habits. Stamp collecting is also fun and personal, giving Scouts a hobby they can enjoy for years ⚜️

In other news, I’ve been working on paring down my collection. Not in a “no longer interested” way, but in a “I’m committing to specialization and letting go of stuff I hoarded for little reason” way. I’ve contacted a friend who is a dealer - boxes and boxes of stuff ready to go. The good news is I will now have plenty more room to really begin laying out my real collecting areas in earnest.
An evening of mostly sorting out #stamps into countries.
I got interested in #stampcollecting over christmas and I found a box of over 3000 (feels way more) for £14 and I am still going through it.
I sorted out my old Nigerian stamps and have decided to have make a album dedicated to British colonies. It will aim to have stamps from when it was became a British colony to when it gained independence.

Went through a big bag of stamps today. All are from Malaysia, and Malaya (which I still am not 100% sure are -now- independent countries) and Singapore (some of which occassionally say Malaysia Singapore on, and confuse me.)
Oh and Malta... so many Malta ones.
So many doubles but not a single full set >.<
