Simon CarswellI was prevented from using my new kit collection at the Roehampton park #Orienteering event this week, owing to doctor's orders. So my new club top, jacket and dibber will have to wait until next Tuesday. That one's in Morden Hall Park, so it should be scenic.
Did my first 'park O' (park #orienteering) event of the London summer series yesterday. Waterlow Park, Archway. Nice place. I'd hoped to drop in on Karl Marx at Highgate Cemetery, next door, but he'd turned in for the night.
Street #orienteering event this evening in Bethnal Green, E London. As it doesn't get dark now until about 9pm, no need for a head torch, thankfully. Aim will be to beat my friend, and friendly rival, Paul. I'm quicker than him, but he's been known to out-navigate me.
