nasty stinky lady <3 #snakeposting 

my precious little lady had a perfect shed! head to tail, not a single scale missing. peeled herself like a banana. and she is looking GORGEOUS as a result! (it's hard to take photos because she never stays still) #snakeposting

I just realised that I never introduced you guys to snake no. 2!

this is rebecca, a kind of insane corn snake who I have taken on from an owner who couldn't take care of her anymore. (since taking these I have scrubbed her hides properly clean and swapped out her substrate, which I suspect was in there for MONTHS before I picked her up.)

she's preparing to shed right now and she doesn't want to be bothered so I don't have many pictures of her but she's absolutely gorgeous - a very deep red colour with a lovely yellowy-orange streak on either side! when she's not in the process of peeling off her skin, she's very confident and even somewhat boisterous... I think it's just a colubrid thing tbh. also she's diurnal, and she tends to wake up exactly when klaus goes to sleep in the morning! so I get endless snake-watching hours. I'm really enjoying having her  #snakeposting
