Disclaimer: I have not watched the anime neither read the manga.
it was excellent, character design and animation are good, a bit stilted in some passages, but it wasn't a problem for me. The story is also interesting and touching, but what I was really impressed by is Inoue's skill as a visual storyteller, especially the way the action on the court was created and intertwined with flashbacks.
