For several years now, I’ve been speaking about #bookbans at comic cons. I’ll be curious to see if I’ll be invited back this year. If not, I’ll wonder if my proposals weren’t good, or if these pop culture companies chose cowardice to avoid DEI and cOnTrOvErSy. #comicsky 📚 💙📚 #skybrarians
📚 I’m currently #writing the chapter on book bans I’m adding to the second edition of my book, and my rage is definitely bleeding onto the page. I’m sure my editor will have me tone it down, but I cannot pull my punches right now. #skybrarians 💙📚 #bookstodon
I won’t even carry RFK’s #books 📚 at the #library because of their misinformation and lack of authority per our collection development policy, and he’s about to head HHS. I cannot handle this horror. #skybrarians
So, at the #library I’m having us do #book leasing now (which I have very mixed feelings about, but it’s necessary for us), and I’m a bit annoyed that our leased copies of #OnyxStorm that I ordered last week are here but not our owned copies which I ordered in fucking April 📚 #skybrarians
