#Lead started being added to #gasoline in the 1920s. There wasn't a big boom in #car sales so it didn't start picking up until the 1940s perhaps early because of the war. It peaked in the 1970s. The #silentgeneration wasn't subject to a ton of lead poising as a child but even adult lead poisoning can lead to early onset dementia and cognitive decline. #Boomers were subjected to a higher level of lead poisoning as children and reached its peak as adults. #GenX got hit the worst of any generation during their most crucial time with the most damage. Elder #millennials got hit with probably what the early boomer got hit with and but wont have to face it as they age as adults. Younger millennials and beyond will be some of the most clear headed and smartest old people if they can figure out how to build social community networks. GenX on average is shaping up to be the meanest, angriest and dumbest elderly generation thanks to what was done to them by the corporations. It kind of explains Trump. They vote conservative but their new conservative is in your face fascist. Feral like they were raised, screwed on both ends of things taking care of their parents and kids losing so much of their best like stressed to the max during the worst recessions. That anger was perfectly directed by fascism. This next election will be when GenX finally has the same number of voters than the boomers for the fist time in history. As someone on the cusp of millennial and genx I have to be aware of this so I don't turn into a scared angry bigot when I get old because I might well have the ability to do so. .
