SatyrosDopo un paio di settimane di utilizzo, sono passata da 5 chiamate ogni giorno di spammer a massimo 2 ma non visualizzate a schermo. Più pratica, discreta e funzionale di alternative a pagamento. Realmente gratuita, rispettosa della privacy. Con 2 euro al mese si possono avere aggiunte -per me- non necessarie. 0 pubblicità in ogni caso. Le opzioni sono spiegate e chiare da impostare per ogni esigenza.

Könnt nicht alle, die Android haben, die App "Should I Answer?" installieren und dort Spam-Anrufe melden, damit sie bei anderen Nutzern automatisch geblockt werden?

Evelyn🚲葉美華💃Strange... I just got [missed] calls from unknowns -- 1 apparently a landline in #Ilocos Norte or Sur, the second a landline in #NCR, and the third is a cellphone number.
The first 2 calls yesterday Saturday, I missed. The third that called today Sunday, I deliberately did not answer.
Weekend.
Not expecting any call.
No way that it's the bank.
And no one I know in Ilocos.

Suspicious +212 number rang my phone once. 🤨
Reported it to #ShouldIAnswer app as a #scam and blocked it on my #Android phone. Pretty sure I have no contacts in Morocco.
"Alert: ... scam with prefix 212 ... for years ... calls coming from numbers that begin with the prefix 212 are intended to get money through special rate numbers. ... be wary of these calls and do not answer them. Neither to the possible SMS..."
Now I'm thinking I should block some area codes on my phone. But how? 🤔

I've never used #Signal for #SMS. Checked it out long time ago when it was new, but it was useless to me. I think SMS is just SMS. A different app won't make it more secure. 🤔 #NotATechie
If there's an #app with crowd-sourced blocking of SMS spammers -- like how #ShouldIAnswer or #TrueCaller can block calls from numbers even if you haven't encountered them before -- that would be useful and worth the extra download. Unfortunately they only block calls, not texts.

In my case I guess it's because my name is veeeeery common. 🙄
I also get wrong SMS. Apparently people get their numbers mixed up when they're filling up forms. I've gotten text messages from a casino for someone named Emmanuel for over a year before they noticed and fixed it, and a confirmation text from Gett which I don't use at all.
I just ignore the wrong SMS sends, but I try to report the #scammers and #spammers.
