Let's talk for a moment about Japan's bus stops. They're CRAZY.

Pictured is one of the smallest we've been at. There's a food court with 5 different eateries, as well as a grocery store & omiyage gift shop. The spotless restrooms are present complete with heated toilet seats & a scenic viewpoint.

The viewpoint has massage chairs to enjoy the view of the bridge & the sea.

And yes, that's a woman vacuuming the area outside the automatic sliding doors of the bus stop.

The Shimanami-Kaido bridge is actually 3 massive suspension bridges that connect the archipelago.

(Yes, there's a lot of bicyclists. The view & climate are wonderful.)

The bridges don't have mid-water towers & are fully suspended from island-to-island so hypothetically, a Container Ship would have no way of taking out the entire bridge. Ahem.

These really are massive suspension bridges & without any mid-tower supports, they make the Golden Gate Bridge seem small.
