I told myself I'd have this arrangement done by today and by golly it's happening somehow! It's a fun chase-sequence type cue. All this work for just 20 seconds, but it'll be an exciting 20 seconds!
Writing introductions is a weird process. You have to decide how you're going to successfully introduce your listener's ear to the world of your piece, and with every piece the answer will be different.
The short piece I'm working on right now will lean heavily on the rhythmic feel, so I'm trying today to establish that in just a couple thrifty bars. The final piece will be lots of fun!
