Slow, methodical progress. I will be surprised if I finish the roofs before the week ends.

This took so long to do. I guess I'm going to be spending most time on these roofs for this project.
Further progress. Slowly getting there.
Didn't have much time today, but I still managed to make some progress.
Terrain progress. Doors!
Today's progress on this terrain project. More Witch's hats! This really isn't a Halloween thing.
More terrain progress and I got quite a lot done on the next four buildings in the time I had today. Really nailed the method by the end and these base structures look really fun.
This feels like slow progress, but it's progress nonetheless. The witches hats are done for these two buildings.
Progress on my latest terrain project.
Most of the terrain I make is just me experimenting with materials and techniques, for funsies. I find it very relaxing to glue things together, slather them in gloop, dust then in powder and and at some point maybe even paint it.
But behind that is the headcanon of Roanoke 7, a fucked up little planet. Once the location of one of the last STL sleeper colonies, it got forgotten during the chaos of first contact back on earth and has only recently been rediscovered by the greater panhuman FTL expansion. Still an ugly, bruised looking planet, all that remains of the original colonists are rusty ruins and random piles of mobile body horror. Also there is glowy, possible intelligent, slimemold and weird formations of stone? Bone? Who knows.
Since I started painting the most recent experiments, I feel like the aesthetics have begun to come together in a way that makes me really excited. Gotta go back and give some of the older pieces a do-over and then I'll have a really nice table setup for some skirmishes.
