I hit the big time folks!!! Warner Brothers is finally reaching out!! #scamtext #faketext
Oh wow, it’s been a while and then 2 back to back. Coming from, supposedly, the UK (+44) and Morocco (+212). See we are back to the 25 age limit. I guess McCann is supposed to mean something (old advertising firm) otherwise (besides form) pretty much the same. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ #scamtext #fakejobs
Well at least Aerotek is a company I’ve heard of (it’s a Maryland based IT recruiting and staffing company). But alas, it’s fake. Weird age requirement thing (22 and older?), doesn’t really say what you do, weird added it was sent from, and big money. #scamtext
Because a .cn adress, not suspicious at all. And DSL πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ, everyone knows DSL. At least they dropped the age limit from 23 to 21. #scamtext
Well they got the agency correct, and the abbreviation for one of the two regulatory codes we use. But, the citation, wrong. Even it it were somewhat correct, that title and sub are for horse racing. And why do I have to use safari (it’s cut off at the bottom). They also sent it after they suspended my registration so, πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ #faketext #scamtext
Fake ticket txt. I mean if you are the DMV (agency is called something different here) and you are contacting me, wouldn’t you have logged it already. Just saying πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ #faketext #scamtext

Oooo, here’s a new one, parking in Annapolis. Couldn’t even tell you the last time I was in Annapolis. #scamtext
I just got a text, supposedly from telegram, with a verification code. I'm not on telegram. Anyone else had this? Assuming it's spam/phishing

Lately I've been getting text messages from people I don't know, many claiming to know me or that I should know them. Others are looking for someone else.

I think they're all scams, as none show that they know my name, though a quick web search on my phone number should identify me pretty easily. (That makes them pretty lazy as far as scammers go.)

So far, they've ramped up from a few in prior months to 3 this week.

Today one claiming to be "Emily" supposedly sent me a picture of her, but a quick web search reveals it's of someone named Alexandra Kosheleva.

Be safe out there.
