Nel monologo di apertura della puntata, il cantante britannico ha ricordato la sua precedente conduzione del 2019 e la fine del tour nel 2023, citando le critiche legate al suo stile e al modo di vestire. “All’epoca la gente sembrava prestare molta attenzione ai vestiti che indossavo, qualcosa chiamato queerbaiting – ha detto -. Alcuni mi hanno accusato di questo, ma vi è mai venuto in mente che forse non sapete tutto di me, papà?“.
Styles ha poi scherzato anche introducendo il suo nuovo album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally”. “Alcuni mi hanno chiesto da dove ho preso quel titolo”, ha detto scherzando, aggiungendo di aver chiesto a ChatGPT di dargli “la frase più italiana che sia mai esistita”, pronunciando fanaticamente il nome dell’album con un accento italiano volutamente esagerato.
“A volte baciare può essere fantastico”, ha aggiunto, respingendo le avances di alcune colleghe del cast del programma come Chloe Fineman e Sarah Squirm. Mentre quando ad avvicinarsi è stato l’attore Ben Marshall, Styles ha detto maliziosamente: “Hai un bel sederino sodo!” e si è lanciato in un bacio appassionato. “Questo sì che è queerbaiting!”, ha concluso.

The singer chose to respond to this and other criticisms during his latest monologue – always with a touch of irony – on “Saturday Night Live.”

In the opening monologue of the show, the British singer recalled his previous hosting stint in 2019 and the end of the tour in 2023, citing criticisms regarding his style and attire. “At the time, people seemed to pay a lot of attention to the clothes I was wearing, something called queerbaiting – he said. “Some accused me of this, but have you ever wondered if you don't know everything about me, dad?”

Styles then joked while introducing his new album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.” “Some asked me where I got the title,” he said jokingly, adding that he asked ChatGPT to give him “the most Italian phrase ever,” passionately pronouncing the album’s name with an exaggerated Italian accent.

“Sometimes kissing can be fantastic,” he added, brushing off advances from some colleagues on the show, such as Chloe Fineman and Sarah Squirm.
