Was ich beim #rwc25 wirklich liebe ist dass es einfach der „Rugby World Cup 2025“ ist. Nicht noch irgendwie extra im Titel erwähnen, dass die Frauenmannschaften spielen. Die Männer waren 2023 und es war nichts anders. Große Stadien, viele Fans, tolle sportliche Leistungen. <3

Da ich etliche Spiele des #rwc25 nicht gesehen habe, hole ich zumindest die Highlights nach, mache Spiele laufen auch einfach nebenher beim Haushalt erledigen.

Die englische Kommentatorin macht echt Spaß zum zuhören. „She uses people as speed bumps“ fasst manches Rugby Spiel schön zusammen.

What a day!

As per other games getting into the stadium early was smooth. Met lovely people we'd chatted to at previous games. Food queues were long between the bronze final and final, but then what can you expect when there were 81,885 people there!

Fantastic atmosphere - a bit more booing the ref and chatting during kicks than I like but in general people were there for a good day out and seemed to be having one 💚 Deserved winners.

Was a little worried that Hannah Botterman was going to lift up the person handing her her winner's medal and slam her to the ground.

Not suggesting I'm a lucky charm or anything but as a fan of the Red Roses for coming up on 120 minutes now I'd like to point out that I've never seen them lose a game.

Well, that wasn't half as difficult for England as I'd been led to believe it might be. As confusing in large parts as I'd expected, though. But, lovely, well done England. World cup winners. Nice ring to it.
