The 1820s Royal Exhange in central Glasgow. Designed by David Hamilton, this is part of an extension to an original 1770s mansion which now houses Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art. It is to this building that the distances to Glasgow given on older road signs and mile markers were measured.
