A pair of chemists at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, has observed communication between rotors in a molecular motor. In their study, reported in the Journal of the American Chemical Society, Carlijn van Beek and Ben Feringa conducted experiments with alkene-based molecular motors.

It is probably a stupid question but why nobody makes #stainless steel #car #brake #discs / #rotors ?

Price would be way higher but looking at my 4yrs old rear discs which are ready to be replace or at lest machined solely because of rust So for cars with weekend use it must pay off.

(ok I found one exception called kodiaq but they are making dics only for trailers)
