Just a reminder. This is #RogerTaney #SupremeCourt Justice who wrote the Dred Scott decision, which held that enslaved Blacks were not included under the word “citizens” in the Constitution, and “…that they had no rights which the white man was bound to respect.”

Why the reminder? Because his bust was on display in the US Capitol from 1872 to 2023.
